Head of Structured Finance
Amsterdam · Pre-Seed · Reports to CEO / CFO
// The Role
Structure the debt that makes energy infrastructure actually happen. Gearing ratios, covenant packages, facility agreements, lender negotiations. You own the full capital structuring process across our portfolio of projects. One day you are building a base case model for a 50MW battery storage portfolio, the next you are on a call with a credit fund explaining why your downside still works. SPVs, holdcos, senior secured, mezzanine. If it sits on the right side of the balance sheet, it is yours. If it has fiscal consequences, you flag them before the tax advisor does. There is no team beneath you yet and no process above you. Just a cap table, a pipeline, and the mandate to go get the capital.
// Profile
You are a VP (or senior associate who should be) at a bank, PE firm, or debt advisory practice. You have structured and executed debt and equity transactions, ideally in renewables or infrastructure. You know your way around facility agreements, credit committees, and covenant packages. You have sat in lender meetings, not just prepared the slides for them. You understand gearing, DSCR, sculpted profiles, and risk structuring at a level where you can challenge the model, not just run it. You have enough fiscal awareness to flag structuring issues before the tax advisor has to tell you. You are done advising. You want to sit on the principal side, own the capital structure, and build something real. Bonus if you have done a stint abroad or worked across European markets. Not required if you are sharp, hungry, and tired of the corporate conveyor belt.
